Request for Proposals: Brooklyn Communities Collaborative’s Maternal Health Program

Brooklyn Communities Collaborative’s (BCC) mission is to promote health equity in Brooklyn neighborhoods. Working across silos, BCC empowers communities and engage partners to develop and implement innovative strategies addressing complex systemic challenges.

With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Building Local Alignment Initiative, BCC is launching a new Maternal Health Program (MHP) to provide funding to community-based organizations (CBOs) in Brooklyn, NY using participatory grantmaking.

The MHP will engage and fund CBOs to develop a community driven response to the maternal health crisis for Black women particularly in Central, Northern and Eastern Brooklyn, with the goal to contribute to more seamless access in communities to resources that support health and wellbeing, improving the ability to engage, educate, and counsel adolescents and young adults on pre/interconception care in the community, focused on managing existing health conditions prior to pregnancy.

Proposals are due by Monday, September 16 at 11:59pm ET. Awardees will be notified by Friday, November 1, 2024.
